Security Guidelines for Containers and Trailers Cordova Brokerage International, Inc., recommends and encourages all our importer clients and trade partners to adhere to the Security Guidelines for Containers and Trailers as established by CBP. The guidelines should be followed at the point of stuffing in order to maintain the integrity of the shipping containers and trailers. These guidelines include the "7-Point inspection process for empty containers" and the "17-Point Inspection Process for Trailers/Tractors". Please contact our office for more information on these guidelines. The use of high security seals is crucial to maintain the integrity of the supply chain, therefore we recommend and encourage all our importer clients and trade partners to meet or exceed the current PAS ISO 17712 standards. Also, our clients are encouraged to have a procedure in place to identify and report seals that have been compromised to CBP or the appropriate foreign authorities.
